The Economic Roots of the American Revolution: Jeremy Land's Colonial Ports, Global Trade, and the Roots of the American Revolution
Published in July 2023 as part of Brill's Library of Economic History series, Colonial Ports, Global Trade, and the Roots of the American Revolution explores how the extensive trade networks developed by American merchants were instrumental in shaping colonial resistance to British policies. The book examines how colonial cities engaged in global trade beyond British oversight, creating economic self-sufficiency that conflicted with the Crown's mercantilist policies.
